The Government of India is planning to increase public health spending to 2.5 per cent of the country's GDP by 2025. The health share of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is expected to rise 19.7 per cent by 2027. United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has also included Good Health & Well-being, and Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure in the sustainable development agenda for 2030.
